Why Stardust?

To be completely honest, I felt a lot of pressure to name my practice something more "professional." Obviously I want to be taken seriously as a therapist and build trust with my clients, but I also want to be true to myself. You deserve to be true to yourself, too, so I'm leading by example. In the spirit of authenticity and transparency, here's my story.

High school wasn’t the easiest for me. I was painfully self-conscious, full of self-doubt, and struggled socially. When my crush agreed to go to the prom with me, I was super surprised and super nervous. Despite my awkwardness it ended up being a pretty fun night. There were little gold stars decorating each table, so I took a handful of that stardust home with me as a souvenir.

After that night, whenever I was struggling, I would randomly find one of those gold stars. They would pop up in the most unexpected places and make me smile. I think it was the universe’s way of reminding me that there were happy times before and there would be again once the darkness passed. I just had to look for the light.

Sometimes I still find little stars along my path. They remind me that there is light in this world and happier times ahead, even if it doesn’t feel like that in the moment. That light is in each of us, no matter how much it may have dimmed. Let me help you through the darkness so we can find your light and let it shine.
