Online Therapy for Teens, College Students, and Young Adult Women in PA, DE, NJ, FL, & SC
Therapy is an investment in your emotional well-being, your relationships, and your long-term growth. I specialize in providing online therapy for teens, college students, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, depression, perfectionism, identity concerns, and big emotions.
My goal is to make sure you (and your child) have clear, transparent information about fees, policies, and what to expect in therapy — so you can feel grounded, supported, and confident every step of the way.
States I Serve via Telehealth
I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy for teens, college students, and young adult women located in:
Pennsylvania
Delaware
New Jersey
Florida
South Carolina
Because therapy is offered via telehealth, we can continue meeting consistently even when life gets busy or routines shift — as long as you are physically located in one of these states at the time of the session. This flexibility allows therapy to remain steady and supportive, even when schedules, seasons, or family arrangements change.
students go home for summer
clients travel for school breaks or vacations
families spend time at their shore house or vacation home
young adults move temporarily
teens split time between parents' homes
This flexibility helps therapy stay consistent, grounded, and effective — no matter where life takes you.
Because of licensing laws, I can only provide therapy when you are physically present in one of these states during your session, even if your home address is elsewhere. If you have questions about how location requirements work, I’m always happy to walk you through it step by step.
Are Online Therapy Sessions Effective?
Yes — online therapy is very effective for teens, college students, and young adults, and research consistently shows that telehealth works just as well as in-person therapy for most mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, and relationship challenges.
For Parents
Many parents worry that virtual counseling won't feel "real" or that their child won't open up online — but in practice, the opposite is often true.
Online therapy can be especially effective for teens because:
They feel more comfortable talking from their own room or safe environment
There's no awkward commute or waiting room stress
It fits easily into busy school, activity, and rehearsal schedules
Consistency is easier, even during travel, shared-custody transitions, or summer breaks
They are already familiar with connecting online, so therapy feels natural and low-pressure
Online sessions also help parents stay involved in an appropriate, supportive way — with check-ins, skill-building tools, and communication strategies that help your whole family feel more grounded.
For Teens, College Students & Young Adults
Many young people prefer online therapy because it feels private, flexible, and easier to open up. Telehealth allows you to:
Be in a space where you feel safe
Avoid transportation or schedule hassles
Meet consistently, even if you're away at college, studying abroad (in a licensed state), visiting family, or
traveling
Use skills immediately in your real-life environment
Build coping tools, emotional regulation, and confidence with steady support
The therapeutic relationship is just as strong online, and you still receive evidence-based tools, coping strategies, and a space where you can be completely yourself.
Bottom Line
If you've been wondering, "Is online therapy effective?" — the answer is a clear yes.
Telehealth therapy is not only effective, but for many teens and young adults, it's the preferred and most consistent way to get support.
If you'd like to explore whether online therapy is the right fit for you or your child, I'm always happy to walk you through what it can look like.
Session Fees
55-minute individual therapy session:
$175 per session
Sessions are tailored to each client's needs and designed to help you create steady, meaningful change over time. If you're not sure what frequency makes the most sense, I'm happy to talk through what would be most supportive.
Private-Pay Practice
I'm a private-pay therapist, which means I am not in-network with insurance. This allows me to offer:
flexible, individualized care
privacy without insurance-required diagnoses
treatment plans based entirely on your needs
freedom from session limits, audits, or coverage restrictions
Many families choose private pay because they want consistent, high-quality therapy that isn't shaped by insurance constraints.
Superbills & Out-of-Network Benefits
If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.
I can provide superbills (detailed receipts) that you can submit to your insurance provider.
Not sure how reimbursement works? I can help you understand:
how to check your benefits
what questions to ask your insurance company
how reimbursement is processed
what costs to expect up front
You're not expected to figure this out alone — I'm here to walk you through it.
Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
Under federal law, a Good Faith Estimate is available, outlining the expected cost of therapy before we begin working together.
This isn't a contract — just clear, transparent information so you feel informed.
Payment Methods
Payment is collected at the time of each session via:
credit/debit card
HSA/FSA card (if your plan allows)
Flexible Cancel/Reschedule Policy
Effective January 1, 2026
Life happens — and therapy works best with steady support. This policy balances flexibility with consistency so we can keep your momentum going, even when schedules shift.

At a Glance:
This quick overview helps you understand the basics. The full policy below explains everything in more detail.
2 waived missed sessions per year
Reschedule within a 3-week window to avoid fees
Weekly clients must book a makeup session in addition to their regular weekly session
Sessions canceled without a reschedule (and without a freebie) are charged the full rate
Two Freebies Per Year
Every client receives two waived missed sessions per year, no questions asked.
You can use these for illness, emergencies, unexpected conflicts, or overwhelming days.
No reschedule is needed when you use a freebie.
Flexible Rescheduling Window (3 Weeks)
If you need to cancel a session, you can avoid a fee by rescheduling within a 3-week window:
the week before your scheduled session
the week of your scheduled session
the week after your scheduled session
Any appointment within that window counts as the makeup session for the missed appointment.
Important Clarification for Weekly Clients
Your regular future session does not count as a makeup session.
For example:
If you cancel the session on the 15th, your session on the 22nd is not considered the makeup — it is simply your regular weekly session.
Why?
Because a canceled weekly session still represents a reserved appointment time.
The makeup session must be a rescheduled time in addition to the future weekly appointment — not a replacement for it.
What this means in practice:
You do not need two sessions in one week unless you want to.
If you find a reschedule time within the 3-week window → fee is waived.
If no suitable time exists → the cancellation fee applies (unless using a freebie).
This ensures:
your progress doesn't lose momentum,
your weekly spot remains consistent, and
you are not charged unexpectedly except when a missed appointment cannot be rescheduled.
Why Weekly Clients Cannot "Shift" Their Regular Session Forward
Some practices allow a future session to be counted as a makeup — I do not, for two important reasons:
1. It breaks the therapeutic structure.
Weekly therapy is meant to be weekly for clinical reasons.
2. It results in unpaid, unreplaced appointment times.
Without this policy, missed weekly sessions would frequently convert into unpaid gaps.
My policy protects both the therapeutic continuity and the financial integrity of my practice.
What Counts as a Makeup Session
A makeup session is any session booked specifically to replace the canceled appointment that occurs:
the week before,
the week of, or
the week after the originally scheduled session.
This may be:
your regular time shifted earlier that week
a temporary alternate time
a short-term schedule adjustment
What Does Not Count as a Makeup
These situations do not replace the canceled session:
attending your regular future weekly appointment
waiting until the next scheduled biweekly or monthly session
attending a session outside the 3-week window
attending a session you already would have had regardless
A makeup must be additional or shifted, not substituted.
Telehealth & Illness
Because sessions take place online, many clients can still attend when mildly sick.
If you're too sick to participate:
you may use one of your two freebies, or
reschedule within the 3-week window
You are never expected to "push through" genuine illness.
After the Two Freebies
Once both freebie sessions have been used:
any missed appointment not rescheduled within the 3-week window is charged the full session rate ($175).
This ensures I can continue holding consistent weekly and biweekly times for clients who rely on them.
FAQ: Fees & Policies
What is a "makeup session"?
A specific session scheduled within the allowed 3-week window to replace the missed appointment.
Do weekly clients ever have to double up?
Most do not — but if no available time exists in the 3-week window, the cancellation fee applies.
This prevents surprises and protects your reserved weekly spot.
Can I use my next weekly session as the makeup?
No.
Your next scheduled session is part of your normal therapy rhythm and does not replace a missed appointment.
Can we meet while I'm traveling?
Yes — as long as you are physically located in PA, DE, NJ, FL, or SC at the time of the session.
If we truly cannot find a time, what happens?
If no workable time exists within the 3-week window and both freebies have been used, the session is charged in full.
Do you accept insurance?
I'm private-pay only. Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement are available upon request.
What about summer schedules?
We'll decide together what level of support is appropriate. Some clients thrive biweekly; others experience setbacks if sessions become infrequent.
What if my teen has several weeks of rehearsals or activities in a row?
I completely support teens' passions and commitments, and I know busy seasons come up throughout the school year.
If weekly sessions aren’t realistic during a certain period (like theater season, exams, or sports), you can either:
1. Shift temporarily to biweekly, so you're not charged weekly cancellations,
or
2. Keep your weekly spot and reschedule within the 3-week window.
What doesn't work is remaining scheduled weekly but canceling multiple weeks in a row — that creates long gaps in care and falls under the cancellation policy once we use up the two annual freebies.
We'll always choose the option that protects your child's well-being, honors your schedule, and maintains the consistency needed for therapy to be effective.
