What is the Insight Intensive?

A dedicated space to understand what's keeping you stuck — and finally move forward.

Feeling stuck is painful. Maybe you've been trying to make changes but nothing seems to shift. Maybe your thoughts feel loud, your motivation feels low, or you're unsure why you keep repeating patterns that aren't helping. You might even feel frustrated with yourself for not "figuring it out" yet.

You're not broken. You're not failing.
You're simply missing the insight you need to understand why this is happening and what will help you move forward.

The Insight Intensive therapy experience offers a focused, supportive, and accelerated way to gain clarity so you can finally feel grounded and capable again.

Signs You Might Be Feeling Stuck

And you may notice:

     avoidance or procrastination

     irritability or shutting down

     worry, guilt, or frustration

     disconnecting from yourself or others

being especially hard on yourself or holding yourself to unrealistic expectations

feeling confused about who you are or what you want

You're not alone, and you don't have to keep trying to untangle this on your own.

Clients often come to me saying things like:

"I keep getting in my own way and I don't know why."

"I feel overwhelmed but also numb at the same time."

"I've tried making changes, but nothing seems to stick."

"I'm doing all the 'right things,' but I still feel lost."

"I often look to other people to tell me what to do."

"I'm not sure how to tell if a decision aligns with what I need."

These aren't flaws — they're signals that something inside you is asking for understanding and support.

When you're overwhelmed, your nervous system might get stuck too.

Many people don't realize that patterns like overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, or irritability can be signs of a stress response — not personality flaws. These responses often show up when you're overwhelmed or stuck in familiar emotional patterns.

These responses occur when your nervous system becomes dysregulated — meaning it's overactivated and doing its best to protect you. Your nervous system plays a huge role in how you think, feel, and react. When your system gets stuck in stress mode, it can push you into patterns like overthinking, shutting down, or people-pleasing — automatic responses meant to help you cope in the moment. This doesn't mean you're "doing something wrong," but because your body is trying to keep you safe.

Understanding why you respond this way is the first step toward changing it. And once you understand the "why," you can begin making choices from a grounded, intentional place rather than reacting out of overwhelm.

The Insight Intensive helps you explore these patterns with compassion, not judgment, so you can regain clarity and control.

Insight: The clarity that helps you finally understand yourself.

Insight isn't just "awareness." It's the key that helps you:

understand the root of what's been holding you back

identify the patterns you keep repeating (and why)

recognize the beliefs or fears driving your decisions

reconnect with what actually matters to you

make choices that move you closer to the life you want

That restless feeling you've had?
It's the part of you ready for change — you just need to understand your why and how.

This insight-oriented therapy intensive for teens and young adults is designed to help you get there.

Definition of Insight
Light burst

This Intensive is designed for teens, young adults, and emerging adults who:

Untitled design (63)_edited.png

feel stuck or unsure how to move forward

are overwhelmed by internal pressure or self-criticism

struggle to identify what they want or what feels "right"

are navigating big decisions or transitions

keep feeling disappointed, frustrated, or disconnected

want meaningful change now rather than waiting months through weekly therapy

Each of these experiences is a sign that you're in a moment of growth — and that you deserve support that helps you understand yourself more deeply. The therapy intensive process provides opportunities for reflection, understanding, and deep insight.

If you're older than this range but resonate deeply with these experiences, you're still welcome to book a consultation — insight work meets you where you are developmentally.

Why This Format Works So Well for Teens & Young Adults

Weekly therapy can be incredibly helpful, but many clients reach a point where they want something more structured, more immersive, and more efficient. They are seeking:

space to slow down and reflect without rushing

uninterrupted time to make meaningful connections

structure that helps you understand what's really going on underneath

support that matches the pace and depth you're craving

The Insight Intensive gives you five total hours of targeted therapeutic support:

     a 1-hour pre-Intensive session

     a 3-hour deep-dive session

     a 1-hour post-Intensive session

Insight Intensive — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if the Insight Intensive is right for me?

The Insight Intensive may be a great fit if you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain about your next steps, or disconnected from your sense of direction.
It's especially helpful if you've been wanting clarity around your patterns, emotions, identity, or choices — and you're ready for meaningful insight now rather than months from now.

The therapy intensive format supports teens and young adults who want a structured, focused space to understand themselves more deeply and make intentional changes.

How is this different from weekly therapy?

Weekly therapy is valuable, but many clients want something more concentrated, more intentional, and designed to create meaningful shift more quickly.

The Insight Intensive includes:

     A 1-hour pre-session

     A 3-hour deep-dive session

     A 1-hour post-session

This extended structure allows us to go deeper than traditional 50-minute sessions — giving you space to understand patterns, process emotions, and create meaningful insight that you can carry into your daily life.
You get clarity sooner, momentum faster, and support that helps you integrate what you're learning.

Can I do this Intensive if I already have a therapist?

Yes. Many people use the Insight Intensive as adjunct support.

If you're currently working with another therapist, I can collaborate with them (with your permission) to ensure the work feels aligned and supportive. You can return to your ongoing therapy feeling clearer, more grounded, and equipped with new insight.

Do I have to live in Pennsylvania to participate?

You can attend the online Intensive if you are physically located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Florida, or South Carolina at the time of each session. (Telehealth laws and licensing regulations require that you are physically located in one of these states at the time of each session.)

In-person sessions may be available in Delaware County, PA, depending on scheduling and space availability.

Can parents be involved if my teen participates?

Gold checkmark

This Intensive is designed to support your teen or young adult directly while prioritizing their autonomy and privacy.

Rather than bringing parents into sessions, I help your teen explore:

What feels helpful for you to know

How they want to communicate their needs

What support from you would feel most meaningful

Together, we identify the kinds of support that will help them navigate this stage of life with more clarity and confidence.

What happens after the Intensive?

You'll receive personalized next-step recommendations that may include insight tools, coping strategies, or continued therapy options to help maintain clarity and momentum.

If you're interested in ongoing weekly therapy with me (and you reside in a state where I'm licensed), we can explore what ongoing support may look like.

What is the cost and what does the Insight Intensive include?

The Insight Intensive is $1200 and includes:

     5 hours of live therapy (1 + 3 + 1 format)

     A personalized treatment workbook

     Tailored coping strategies and recommendations

     Time spent reviewing workbook responses

     Flexible scheduling

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes. You can secure your spot with a 50% deposit.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your 3-hour deep-dive session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once you schedule the Intensive, that time is reserved for you.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of the Intensive date, you are responsible for the full cost of the package.

Is the Insight Intensive a good fit during school breaks or slower seasons?

Yes — winter and summer breaks are ideal times for a therapy intensive.

These periods often come with fewer academic, social, or work demands, which gives you more space to focus on yourself and reflect deeply.

Many clients find they can make meaningful progress more quickly when they have the time and emotional capacity to slow down and tune inward.

What if I start during break but need the final session once I'm back at school?

That's completely okay.
Your 3-hour deep-dive session can take place during break, and your post-session can be scheduled after you return to school — as long as you're physically located in a state where I'm licensed for each virtual session.

This can actually be beneficial, as you'll have support during the transition period when new insights are being tested in real life.
